Day 23: Women Missionaries

There was a talk today in church about women missionaries. Although the speaker cover mostly on the history, it really sparked my interest in this topic…

Perhaps later on after becoming a nurse…

  1. Yes, I’m somewhat intrigued by not only women missionaries but by missionaries, period. I’ve met a few over the years who were missionaries to China before they were kicked out after 1949 revolution. They are the most fascinating. At the moment, my favorite missionary is a woman and in fact a failed missionary who gave her self to be God’s missionary overseas, but contracted tuberculosis and never made it out to the mission field. She is a Catholic and her name is St. Thérèse of Lisieux. She died in the late nineteenth century at age 24.
