Day 4: Slow and Easy

Sort of late for my day 4 post but here it is!

Habits are easy to form but difficult to keep. Personally, I think it is best to go at it at a slow pace. What I mean by that is to not change your like in a 360 degree over night. It might sound like a good idea but if you are anything like me, which you might not be, you would eventually curb back into the person you had been the night before.

So this time (year), I am doing something a little different. For example, I have been working on my spiritual self since September 2014. Unfortunately, my growth were only momentarily. I was not satisfied with that. I really wanted to change. For christmas, I got a daily devotion book for 2015. It is a DAILY devotion; a daily task. It means commitment. I admit, there are days where I “forget” or was “too tired” for it but I kept challenging myself to increase the days in a row of when I work on my devotion. No matter how many time I miss a day, as long as I do it the next day and continue to do so, that is when I know I am slowly succeeding. It is still a working matter for me. I still have some days where I’m tired or I feel spiritually tired and low but the desire to want to get to know Jesus better out weight the alternative choice. So that is the first life changing habit I have placed into my life.

The second daily thing I have been trying to dedicate to is a BLOG. ie. a journal. I was first inspired by all those korean drama recap blogs that I constantly go to the desire to get another perspective on the dramas I watch. However, after watching an episode and deciding how to do a recap did i realize that it is a LOT of work. Like dramabean, I would have to take screen shot of some important scenes, summarize it briefly, then add in my own opinion. EEKS. No wonder there isn’t many recap blogs out there!

So what I am trying to say is: take your time on your “new year resolutions”. Make it a life change rather than a January change.
If you want to do better in school, what should you do?
What are you willing to sacrifice for this to be accomplish?
Are you willing to sacrifice some of your personal time such as TV time in order to fit in an extra one or two hours of studying?
How badly do you want to achieve this goal? How important is this goal to you? Would it help you grow? Would it benefit you? Would it help you grow as a human being?

Okay, I am going to cut this post short again, it is around 1:40AM here in Vancouver BC! I am tired but today was a great day of growing with my sisters so it was a happy day. 🙂

Song of the day: Ed Sheeren – Thinking Out Loud
This is my repeat-one song of the moment. I have never been in a relationship yet…which is pretty sad. I would be considered as an old hag if I was living in Jane Austen’s time era. 😥 BUT yes, if I do one day get into a relationship, I wish my partner and I would be much in love as the love presented in this song. I think this song do great justice in portraying genuine love. So…one day I hope haha. okay,

For the Sing-A-Longs:

“Thinking Out Loud”

When your legs don’t work like they used to before
And I can’t sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

And, darling, I will be loving you ’til we’re 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

When my hair’s all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don’t remember my name
When my hands don’t play the strings the same way
I know you will still love me the same

‘Cause honey your soul could never grow old, it’s evergreen
And, baby, your smile’s forever in my mind and memory
I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it’s all part of a plan
Well, I’ll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you’ll understand

But, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
Thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

So, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are
Oh, baby, we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are
